Our story
SDF was founded after a firm but pleasant discussion somewhere in a greenhouse in the Zuidoostbeemster. How did a grower, a blockchain specialist and an energy specialist come up with the idea to construct sustainable mobile datacenters?
The benefits
A SDF Mohec enables the grower to reduce its reliance on boiler-gas significantly, if not totally. All the dissipated heat is captured and used to heat up the greenhouse. The Mohec has a constant thermal energy production of 600 to 1,500 KWh.
The Mohec enables our energy specialist to optimize the energy production and consumption of the grower which realizes a wonderful profit in terms of capacity and sustainability
SDF believes in the power of collaboration. Collaborating with the grower, and or producer of the CHP enables SDF to utilize the surplus of the locally produced energy for the servers and heat production and in turn allowing SDF to realize a higher revenue in comparison to selling the surplus on the grid for all parties involved.
SDF believes in the electrification of the heat consumption as a viable means for the future.

We enable our partners to take an additional step towards a sustainable energy exploitation of their business. We substitute and reduce their reliance on their boiler by a SDF Mohec. This enables our partners to reduce their gas consumption up to 50% and in the future, this might even grow to 100%
The dissipated heat is efficiently captured and turned into a usable source of heat for the greenhouse. This results in an economization for the greenhouse as well as the datacentre. A generic electrical boiler has a thermal efficiency of 97% where the Mohec realizes a thermal efficiency of 95%. Putting the Mohec in the same list of sustainable options as the electrical boiler but with a much higher economic return!
